Rebels mock Griffin

December 31, 2007
This will teach the bleeders!!

It appears that Nick Griffin has not carried out his threat to the rebels issued shortly before Christmas. Not only single person whose name is on the enough is enough blog has been contacted directly by the party leadership to either be given the ultimatum or subsequently disciplined.

As suggested on this blog yesterday, the failure of Griffin to follow through his threat has left his leadership in a weaken position and this is now being exploited by his rivals. Just when it seemed that the rebellion was running out of steam, the rebels have seized on Griffin’s lack of action as further proof, if proof was needed, of the mismanagement at the top of the party.

“It is yet another example of the confusion, muddled thinking and disastrous decision making that is the hallmark of the current administration who have made mistake after mistake in this whole sorry and totally avoidable debacle since day one,” the rebels insist.

Taking the initiative, the rebels have issued a serious of questions to the BNP leadership. Whilst they have no chance of being answered, it gives the rebels an opportunity to re-ignite their protest.

Where this protest will ultimately go is still open to question. With Griffin committed to expelling the rebel leaders, the protesters need internal BNP change to happen fast so as to prevent their rebellion faltering. This in truth is becoming more unlikely each day and without the protest spreading to other parts of the country it seems a split is the only logical outcome.

“One thing we all know for certain is that imminent change is inevitable and nothing will be the same ever again,” concludes the rebels latest statement. Too true!

Councillor could be forced out of BNP

December 28, 2007
Coun Colin Auty. (NS)
Coun Colin Auty.

A DEWSBURY councillor may be expelled from the British National Party after offering his support to an internal rebellion.
But Dewsbury East councillor Colin Auty, who was elected in the May 2006 elections, said ongoing party issues would not affect his work in the ward.

He said: “At the moment I’m just carrying on doing what I do, the vast majority of which is ward work.

“It won’t interfere with anything else. I’ll just carry on.”

Mr Auty, whose term ends in 2010, was one of more than 60 party members to add his name to a blogging website set up by a group using the name The Real BNP.

It called on party leader Nick Griffin to reinstate six expelled party members, create a formal management system and eject two BNP members that they felt were damaging the party.

At the weekend a post on the official BNP website said there would be an amnesty for members to withdraw their support for the rebels, with the promise that their ‘misguided low level involvement in this whole regrettable affair will be discounted and their prior positions and good standing restored’.

Two weeks ago Mr Auty was also at a regional party meeting in Leeds which reportedly descended into chaos after fighting allegedly broke out between some members.

On Sunday an anonymous post on the Real BNP blog said members who had heckled Mr Griffin at the meeting had been sent letters expelling them from the party.

But Mr Auty, whose name remains on the website, said he has not received any letters or other communication telling him he has been expelled.

He said: “At this stage I don’t know what’s happening. I haven’t received anything yet.

“There were certain people that have had a letter for what they termed disrupting a meeting.

“As regards to the so-called rebels I don’t know anyone who has had a letter from that.

“I just voiced what I believed were my own concerns.

“I stand by what I feel is right for the voters more than anything else.

“I’m here for the public and if I believe they would have concerns then that makes me have concerns.

“One thing I’ve said with politics is I’ll call it as I see it.

“I think it’s really important that even if you have issues with your own party you have got to be honest.

“It’s up to people like myself. If I believe there’s something wrong within my own party, it’s up to us to make things better and to be listened to.”

On Monday the rebel website posted a message to say it would no longer be commenting on internal issues and called on the leadership to drop the threats of expulsion.

Scrooge Griffin

December 24, 2007
Griffin shows how he really feels.Cockroach clings closely to his master.

The spirit of Christmas is well and truly with Nick Griffin.

We hear that a number of Yorkshire members who had the temerity to heckle the Furhrer at his tempestuous Leeds meetings have already received expulsion notices “for behaviour unbecoming of a party member” apparently signed off by Tina Wingfield.

Others are bracing themselves for their expulsion orders to arrive tomorrow – Christmas eve!

What a jolly generous chap your chairman is BNP members. We hear he has more than enough expulsion orders to go round and is looking forward to handing out these to those who have worked particularly hard for the party this year.

If this is Griffin’s idea of a happy Christmas one wonders what he has in store for the New Year?

Searchlight proved right over BNP financial irregularities

December 23, 2007

The BNP might have sneered at our allegations about financial irregularities but it seems that we are being proved correct.

In a new posting by Sadie Graham on the Enough is Enough blog she admits that she was paid as though she was a freelancer. “I have been in receipt of £1,250 per month, out of which I have to pay my own tax and national insurance,” she admits.

Given that she was working full-time for the party it is clear that she should have been paid as a normal employee and as a result the party should have paid tax and National Insurance contributions. Reading through the BNP accounts that there also are a number of other full-time party employees who do not seem to be paid normally through the books. Among them are Simon Darby, Nick Cass and Mark Collett.

More details of our 22-page dossier into the BNP finances will appear in our January issue of the magazine. To subscribe visit www.searchlightmagazine.com

“The Fight is far from over”. Sadie Graham dismisses computer claims

December 23, 2007
Exley: Rebel Rebel?

Sadie Graham’s camp came out fighting this evening when they rubbished claims that the party bought her the computer and that their rebellion was running out of steam.

Writing on the Enough is Enough blog, they claim that the dates do not add up and so the computer receipt reproduced on the party website must be a forgery. To back up their argument they point to another item on the list, namely a camera bought for Warren Bennett, the one-time head of BNP security. The problem is that Bennett had left two months before the date on the receipt so it was highly unlikely for the party to buy equipment for an ex-employee.

Another plank of the BNP evidence against Sadie Graham’s account of the computer was that the user name on the machine was ‘Saddie’, the same misspelling that was used on the receipt. The Graham camp contend that it is easy to change the settings on a computer and so they claim that the evidence offered by the BNP website is meaningless.

Meanwhile, a few new supporters have come forward to back the rebels, chief amongst them is Councillor Colin Auty, from Dewsbury. With David Exley also privately supporting the opposition any future split in the party could see the BNP losing its foothold in Kirklees.

It seems that the long-awaited Griffin purge has begun. Despite giving people until Monday evening to withdraw from the rebel side a growing number of people have either been issued with expulsion notices or sacked from their positions.

This is a risky strategy by the Griffin camp. While he obviously thinks that the short term damage will easily be overcome with a streamlined party without his critics he is in danger of further alienating great swathes of the BNP. It is already clear that the majority of West Yorkshire activists will walk away from the BNP if the rebel leaders are not reinstated and the same goes for key people in the East Midlands and the less important Scotland region.

Griffin is also playing with fire if it is proved that he is lying over the computer claim. I will end with one posting on the Enough is Enough site this evening: “Griffin is digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole. The more ridiculous his lies, the more members will turn against him. Keep up the good work everyone.”

If however he is telling the truth then this, and the alleged intercepting emails claim, could finish off the rebellion.

Dewsbury councillor Colin Auty joins the rebellion

December 22, 2007
Shortarse Auty

Dewsbury East councillor Colin Auty has added his name to the Real BNP rebel list.

This throws into the doubt the future of both Great White records and Red Clare the resident BNP band.

Auty is probably the best known of the GWR recording artists and without his input GWR will surely grind to a halt.

He is also the main man in Red Clare along with Leo Sayer wannabe Frank Atack and useless Queensbury BNP councillor Paul Cromie

Cromie is known to be a massive Griffinite(Possibly down to the amount of money Cromie has)
he is also close friends to king rat himself Mark Collett.

Auty has already told several people before the Real BNP coup d’etat that he was seriously disillusioned with the BNP,so maybe this just might push him over the edge.

Griffin gives Monday ultimatum to rebels

December 22, 2007

It might be the weekend before Christmas but there is no let up in the factional infighting within the BNP. If anything it is getting more intense, with a growing belief in the Griffin camp that they have seen out the worst of the trouble.

The rebels meanwhile have been desperately trying to shore up support for their position which could be an admission that the momentum is slipping away from them.

Over the last few days, as has been reported on this site, the BNP leadership have hit back at the claims by the rebels and in doing so have gone on the offensive. First there was the allegation that Steve Blake, one of the rebel leaders, had been monitoring the email traffic of party officers, including Nick Griffin. Next was the claim that Kenny Smith had withdrawn £4,000 from a BNP bank account after he had been sacked from his post. Now, the BNP website has today posted what they claim is proof that the computer which Sadie Graham alleges was stolen from her house was actually one purchased by the BNP. While this new revelation does not mean the BNP had the legal right to trawl through her computer and open emails it does if true undermine the rebels’ case.

The rebels meanwhile have sent out a Real BNP bulletin to every party member outlining their case. To the obvious alarm of the party leadership this would have been the first time many ordinary members would have heard about the split.

Feeling more secure in his position, Griffin has now offered an amnesty to all those who have signalled their support for the rebels. In giving a deadline of Monday 24 December the BNP, whilst not stating this directly, must surely be willing to expel anyone who does not comply.

So far seven people have either withdrawn their names from the rebel list or have claimed that they had never given authorisation for it to be on in the first place. While all are peripheral players in this dispute it may signal which way the tide is turning.

However, there are a number of people who are on their way out of the party. According to the BNP website Kenny Smith, Nicholla Smith, Sadie Graham, Matt Single, Steve Blake, Ian Dawson, Danny Lake and Bev Jones are all for the chop. While Searchlight readers might be disappointed that the guillotine is not hanging over the heads of more party members it must be remembered that these are the more able organisers within the party and appear to have attracted a loyal following, many of whom will likely leave the party as a result.

Interestingly Chris Beverley’s name does not appear on the Griffin hitlist. Could it be that he is backtracking? Beverley certainly made a conciliatory speech on Tuesday in Leeds and went out of his way to distance himself from the Enough is Enough blog.

With the deadline looming and Griffin moving against the rebels we can safely say that the BNP is heading for a split. Happy Christmas!

Who does the computer belong to?

December 22, 2007

The BNP has justified its entry by deception into Sadie Graham’s house and the removal of property by insisting that the computer they took belonged to them. “The “stolen” computer [Cruddas] refers to belongs to the BNP,” Simon Darby wrote on his blog yesterday. “It was provided by a firm in East Yorks and not only do we have the receipts for it, but we also have indisputable proof resident on the machine itself.”

Not so, says Sadie Graham. She insists that the computer that was removed was given to her by her father, hence she has made a complaint to Nottinghamshire police.

Graham’s camp, meanwhile, has launched a financial appeal to help the three sacked BNP officers out over Christmas.
